Travel cash options, 28 degress question.

maybe one of the smaller niche lenders (for example specialising in cards for those with bad credit ratings) had something like that? Some of those less reputable lenders used to have interest rates around 39% IIRC. It wouldn't surprise me if they pulled something like you describe.
Apart from the 28 Degree Card all of my cards have been with the majors. I guess I just misinterpreted something at some stage and then imprinted it on myself !

Wow this thread got confusing real quick.

To the OP,

1. Deposit money onto your card via Bpay (assuming you don't owe any money on it currently);
2. Ensure it is this money you are withdrawing each time you use it. For example if you initially owed nothing on the card and your limit is $5k and you've deposited another $5k you'll have $10k at your disposal. Ensure you're just using the $5k you deposited and you won't pay cash advance interest as it is your money.
3. Allow a few days for each transfer but regularly top it up from wherever you have your $50k sitting and you won't pay any interest.

Works a treat whenever we travel.
