Can anyone recommend some that are light, fold up well yet can actually work as a coat hanger? Hotels and other accom places don't always provide sufficient numbers, or have those horrid 'locked to cupboard' types.

Hi Mal. I have a bunch of hangers that came with an ANTLER suit fold - I also purchased a handful more some time ago as they had gone missing (i.e. I left them in hotel rooms )

I got them at the luggage shop on Springvale in Mitcham on the left heading toward Glen Waverley - an old converted petrol station I think... Maybe Nlagalle could enlighten us on the name if he drives past.

Is there a brand on them?

Just bumping this as I still haven't found any. Forest Hill is a little out of my way, and I've checked both travel and department stores in several countries since this thread and still haven't seen them sold.

Even Amazon isn't a good place to look - and Ebay - MEH.

So any suggestions for somewhere in Brisbane, an online store or even a brand/model which is good would be of great assistance.

Hi Mal,

I use the inflatable ones found here:

Design Go - Inflatable Travel Coat Hangers

when I travel I pack light which means I take shirts that I can wash at night and are ready to go by the morning. The inflatable coat hanger can hold wet shirts but I doubt they would hold a heavy coat.

The brand is: Design Go. Given how I use my hangers I am very happy with them and I would repurchase in the event that I lost one in my travels.

You may find more information/ suppliers at onebag.com (one of my favourite websites):

I have one metal clip hanger that you could use to hold up a skirt/pants but I remember that being around our house since I was a child and I made sure that it made its way into my travel gear stash. The metal hanger folds up so it is a treasure and I wish I knew where it came from b/c I would love to have a few more. If anyone knows where you can get metal fold up travel hangers that would be great. I don't know if they can be packed in hand luggage though???

Hths,

ck

Thanks for the link. Will investigate.

I also remember the foldable trouser hangers. Used to have some years ago. But like you i wouldn't know where to buy these days.
