This has been very helpful for me. So thank you all for commenting
Perhaps it’s “third party” insurance.Love that the ‘baby boomer’ policy covers pregnancy!
The Australian Bridge Federation, the game, not the structural engineers, offer travel insurance to members up to and including age 90. Can't comment on it, I just know it exists.@infrequent_jim How did you find a travel insurance company that will offer just basic cover for delays, lost luggage etc ? I also used to use just platinum credit card cover, and have never made a claim in many years of travelling. But I'm now 82 and so over their 80 y.o. cut-off.
Now I'm planning a 3-4 week trip to the UK only (I am a British citizen and also have family there) but including a side-trip with a UK company that requires me to have insurance cover while with them.
When I enter my travel details with any of the companies mentioned above (aand others) I am offered only a "Gold" level policy covering many items I don't need, such a rental car excess waiver (I don't drive), domestic pet, travelling companion etc. I want just minimal basic cover.
