After being somewhat disappointed, yet pleasantly refreshed, next was to lounge it out a bit. Have a beer, some snacks and check up on some emails.

Here's some random shots of the lounge:

If you want an alcoholic drink, you have to go to the Sports Bar at the front, although I did see some of the service staff bringing back drinks from there.

Tangental Anecdote...loud Aussie accent, (yet again)! saying to polite Malaysian staff in Islamic clothing "Can you bring us all another roudd of beers, and nothing that tastes like s@#t"..*sigh*

There is the self serve buffet food, or the bistro..or the cafe. I wasn't that hungry, so a beer and some Haagen Dazs Ice Cream later, I thought I'd go for a wander. This time I went to the front desk and asked who can go to the Platinum Lounge.. Upon checking of my BP, "yes sir OW Emeralds may use the Platinum Lounge"..ok now I wish I hadn't of asked where the showers were.

So now turning to the RIGHT..here is the entrance to the Platinum lounge, as usual, its just the same thing, but more exclusive and private:

There is in fact sit down table service here, but considering I'd just spent three days in Malaysia, I wasn't hungry.

On the way out, I caught a Glimpse of the MH Enrich Platinum lounge, its on your left as you walk out, and closely gaurded by MH staff..only for Enrich Platinum members I was told.

So leaving the MH lounge I wandered out and noticed that the Entrance is actually rather appealing:

You can stay on the mezzanine and around the corner are the other Lounges for Thai, Singapore and the Plaza Premium Lounge. There are others, best to check the maps here:http://www.klia.com.my/images/sat.pdf

And one more shot of the Satellite terminal:

Onboard MH123 back to Sydney, the J cabin this time was solid. Either because it was Friday night, or like the young lady sitting next to me, returning to Sydney for the start of university  The 777 has a 2-3-2 configuration, I was not able to check in online so had no clue where I would be put, luckily I was window side, aisle seat. On these 777's though, you can pretty much park a truck between the seat in front and still have room to walk around. So having to step over people isn't an issue.

Strangely enough. I slept better on this angled skybed, than in the "private" cabins of SQ and CX.

As this was the first month of MH being part of OW, they offered a double points bonus. Here's how the statement looks on my QF site. the points are correct, but a few other details look wrong...

Yes it looks wrong on yours, but mine is correct. Wonder if it is something to do with the difference in calculations due to the fact yours is from AU and so has different earn rates, then the inter Asia flights.

Oh did I mention that the headphones in J flying Malaysian are NOT noise cancelling?

Well they are NOT noise cancelling. So if that's your thing you need to BYO. Which I always do anyhow.
