Travelling with infant(12 mth) in J

When I had my son and he travelled as a 8 month old, he could not fit in a bassinet. Then my daughter is born and travel at 5 months, she barely fits in a bassinet.

However for both times I got them to sleep on my tummy in lie-flat CX J HKG-SYD. Did once overnight with my daughter, and FAs were amazed that she didn't "roll off" me for the whole night. I didn't use the bassinet as I was worried about turbulences and they get thrown around.

As soon as our kids could turn they were useless in the bassinet. We tend to make the bed lie flat and then sleep on our side while bubs sleeps towards the heAd of our seat.

Your best bet is to get an empty seat next to you for bubs to sleep in - ideally window and you put them down towards the "head"
Side of the seat so there is limited room to move. Then pop seat belt over them and ask the hostile to check hourly to make sure they haven't moved and wake you up if hey have.

Most important - there won't be any meals for your child on the flight! You'll need to share meals or ask for spares if you don't want to pack your own.

Expect the unexpected!!!!

I would request a bassinet seat both ways but if doesn't get used no stress.

I would see if it is a full flight but being a small little human being they will get comfortable and sleep during both ways
