Does anyone know if Qantas is still offering to convert cancelled bookings into a TravelPass with a DSC offer?

I took advantage of this a few months ago, but don't know if it's still on offer for cancelled flights.

The ones I cancelled all went back to traditional credits. I think there was a cutoff dates for the travel pass.

Have confirmed - it is still available for flights cancelled by Qantas but T&C have changed slightly.

Previously:

This offer is available on an unlimited number of eligible flights provided... Your Qantas TravelPass is used as the payment method for the majority of the booking, or the total remaining value of your Qantas TravelPass is used towards the booking...

Now:

This offer is available on an unlimited number of eligible flights provided... Your Qantas TravelPass is used to pay for the total value of your booking, or the total remaining value of your Qantas TravelPass is used towards the booking...

Regardless, I'm still yet to have any DSC actually credit! So far it seems like a dud.

How long ago did you travel? There were reports in the other TravelPass thread indicating it takes about a month for the DSC to credit.
Award booking - 4 weeks - testing to see if Points Club members get DSC when paying taxes
Normal booking - last week

Yes, I know it can take a while to post... but the wait is killing me!

Ah! This will be an interesting data point. Be sure to post an update if this one comes through. I'd be very interested to see if it works on Award bookings for Points Club members.

I paid for a couple of flights to Melbourne next week from Perth using the Travelpass from a previous cancelled flight and it's looking likely that the border situation is going to change again and I may need to cancel. Do you think it's safe to assume that any refund will be credited back into my Travelpass credits?

Happy to have cancelled an upcoming NZ trip (not going to happen) for a travel Pass with DSC. Hmmmmmm .... DSCs on tap, eh?

Thanks for sharing Chris, can you clarify how you booked and paid for your flights?

Assuming here you used a single DSC TravelPass for two separate bookings? If so, great to see having DSC on tap!

I just used my TravelPass with DSC as payment, simple as that. (remaining value can be used for the next flight then etc. and all the bookings, full or partial paid, with the TravelPass get the DSC )

Thanks - some more info on this thread: TravelPass with DSC offer

My T&Cs for reference:
You’ve chosen to earn double Status Credits on eligible flights* for all passengers booked when using your Qantas TravelPass. This offer is available on an unlimited number of eligible flights provided:
  • A new eligible flight booking is made before the expiry date shown on the Qantas TravelPass,
  • Booked passengers travel on any Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number*,
  • Your Qantas TravelPass is used to pay for the total value of your booking, or the total remaining value of your Qantas TravelPass is used towards the booking, and
  • All passengers have their Qantas Frequent Flyer number included in the booking.

Travel Pass with DSCs still being offered as one option (I think 10% $ credit was the other). Excellent option - DSCs on tap ...
What is the validity of the pass? Is it the same as the validity of DSC?

Conditions:

* ... a new Eligible Flight booking between 12.01am (AEST) 1 September 2020 and 11.59pm (AEDT) 31 December 2022. An Eligible Flight for the purpose of this promotion means any Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number on your ticket where Status Credits are normally earned.

Some others:

Bonus Status Credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward, Platinum One Bonus Reward and Status Accelerator/Challenge earn requirements. Full or part travel of an itinerary is eligible only if you book (regardless of payment date) and travel within the promotional dates as listed above. If you cancel your initial qualifying booking or change it to be outside the promotional period, this bonus offer will not apply.

If passengers qualify for multiple bonus Status Credits offers for the same flight, the highest value bonus Status Credits offer will be applied to each individual qualifying segment. For example, if you qualify and register for a 50% more Status Credits offer and a double Status Credits offer on the same flight, you will receive the double Status Credits offer as it will result in the highest total number of bonus Status Credits. Only one Status Credits offer can be used per individual qualifying segment of your itinerary. Bonus Status Credits may be earned on multiple eligible flight bookings made during the promotion period.

Also, to be clear, I got the Travel Pass for a booking (to NZ) I cancelled off my own bat. It wasn't cancelled by Qantas. Are people following me?

Was the Agent proactive in offering the 2xSC Travel Pass?
Funnily enough, the agent first, without me asking, checked and offered a refund to my card. I said can I get a credit and preserve the PNR (although it wasn't connected to any points or SC offer). Replied yes, and then she offered the travel pass alternative with the $ bonus or DSC.

Another data point. had a trip booked in a couple of weeks - to nobody's surprised a sector was cancelled just now - in fact an entire morning of MEL-SYD were cancelled thus nuking my planned connection and all. So anyway since QF cancelled I knew I had the refund option at very least. Called QF - VIP team agent answered and was super wonderful. confirmed I could get refund. I asked about travel pass.. she checked and said yup option available and then "I'm guessing you'd like the Double Status Credits option?" Well I cannot tell a lie she had me nailed (it was an original DSC booking). Decided this was a better option to keep DSC and not even attempt to rebook anytime soon. given all going on. So she is organising that now. entire conversation took around 2 minutes. (it was a sale J fare)
