Trip Report MEL DOH FRA J

Over all impression of QR J. Its definitely not something we'd seek out. The seat was fine, same as VA J, but we found the food offerings lacking somewhat. Also, no proactive refills of wine or water. Always had to ring the bell ( something I don't like doing), and they came fast, but I don't want to ring the bell to have my wine topped up having a meal, or to get another bottle of water. This constantly happened on both legs. If we must go via the ME to Europe, in first place we'd be running with EY Apartment ( but who doesn't want that!) then EY J, then probably QR.

We'll be heading home ( well, to Asia) on Oman Air via Muscat..... so i'll try and do another report en route.

Happy Reading.

Thanks for posting. A bit disappointing that QR soft product is not that good. Flew them a few years ago from Africa into DXB and they were very polished then (especially the DOH-DXB leg).

My experience about 12 months ago was also very positive with QR over several flights in J.

Re the showers, they get really busy during the peak morning period. For the uninitiated there are actually two lots of showers, so worth checking both. Put your name down, grab something to eat and head back. Obviously annoying if you have a tight connection.

I wonder if the shower situation is as bad in the pleb OWS lounge?

What was the aircraft type MEL-DOH?

And when you say DOH-FRA was a LATAM craft, what was happening there?

Sorry the MEL DOH was an A380. From Doha to Frankfurt was an A350 leased to Qatar by LATAM, QR crew and pilots etc but LATAM metal and livery.

Also yesterday didn’t did Eurowings “Best” fare Berlin to Nice. Their “Best” fare s their J fare. Standard Euro J seating ( economy seat with middle seat free). Get LH lounge access. We nabbed row 1. A few pics......
