Cruiser Elite I think you are related to my 11 year old niece who could stop doing the drop zone slide - wow

Day 3 Bali Report

Today was all about relaxation and the Bali Dynasty Resort. For me it's was a 90 minute massage and pool time, for my nieces it was hair braiding, my nephew Harry it was bargaining like me ie not well.

I now understand the appeal of Bali as a relaxation destination.

Looks like some good family time. Think we stayed at the Bali Dynasty in 1999.

Day 3 - Bali Report

Whoops put wrong info above for day 3.

Day 3 was all about Street Shopping, my nieces getting their hair braided, visiting the Uluwatu Pura (Temple) including watching a traditional kecak dance at sunset - watch out for the monkeys.

That and having dinner under the stars at the beach at Jimbaran Bay made for a great night.

Day 5 Blog Report

This was the best day by far. I had engaged a driver (Dana) for today and tomorrow and I had an amazing day visiting the Batuan Temple and the Blangsinga Waterfall, I watched an Elephant dunk a basketball at the Elephant Safari Park & Lodge, and saw the beautiful Ubud Rice Paddy Terraces. I spent probably the most I have ever spent on a trip picking up some great paintings for families and friends and a necklaces for me mum.

But maybe the best part of the day was watching my nieces and signing at a Pub just having a great time.

Day 6 Blog Report

Today saw a visit to the magnificent Tanah Lot Temple which was probably even more impressive with the rough weather and the sea pounding at the Temple.

The two ducks thrown into the sea didn't make it however.

Follow this up with ATV off-road driving with my niece whose only words seemed to be 'go faster' which given the water and mud wasn't necessarily my plan!

coyote at the risk of sounding like an old fuddy duddy please please please make sure all riders of motorised 2/3/4 wheel vehicles are wearing helmets at ALL times - just so so easy for accidents to happen.

Sadly someone died from an accident in South Australia just last night. An adult male I believe.

After what happened to MrsDaver6 in Namibia on a quad bike, I shudder each and every time I see someone on one. Even a helmet isn't sufficient. So many spinal injuries from quad bikes.

She was and it was a tandem ride no way Darby was ridding by herself yet alone without a helmet. This photo was at a stop, bike was off and park on the flats and that's the only photo we got.

Yeah it's a risk which is why my niece probably thinks I'm a bit of a wimp for my caution. Only times we moved at any speed was on the clear flats or twice at up hill bits which didn't have any immediate turns.

Also I have been on quads before but found it must more scarcely with a family member on board.

Review - Premier Lounge Denpasar

I found the Premier Lounge at Denpasar Airport (Ngurah Rai International Airport) to only be so so.

First thing at Ngurah Rai International Airport to get to the Lounge and airside you need to go through four security / check points not counting the Lounge Dragons / Angels.

You need to be given an invite at checkin to get access to this independent lounge. There are two lounges at this airport. The Premier Lounge has a large range of airlines using it.

The lounge itself was very busy but it was possible to find a seat. I didn't find shower or toilet facilities in the lounge but I might have missed them.

There is a reasonable range of food and self serve drinks and juice including beer. There was also a bar service and a business room. I couldn't get the wifi to work and the free airport wifi also doesn't reach the lounge (airport wifi is good however).

The lounge can be very far from your gate so don't leave late (Qantas flight was furthest gate away).

I might be under rating the lounge due to short visit and not wanting to leave Bali and free food and drink is always welcome :)
