Triple points promotion

I received a slight variation of this offer today. Communicated in a flyer.

Triple points on supermarket spend (rather than everything) in Dec. Up to 20k bonus points. Overseas transactions excluded. I hold a Signature so this is 3 FF points per $ spent.

Given I earn 4 points per $ at the supermarket with my AMEX Platinum Edge plus Local Champion, won't be jumping on this one.

Has anyone figured out if the spend limit is $4444 or $6666?

The reason I ask is we know the total limit of points is 20000 and we know the bonus points atop at 13334. That means you can earn 6666 base points, but at 1.5 points per dollar that's only $4444 spend.

I see mention up thread of $6666 spend and $4444 spend so just wanted to clarify please.

For those who are interested, and have access to a source of discounted WISH cards at everydaygiftcards.com.au (e.g. via RACWA), that site's merchant name is receiving the triple points from Citibank.

Looks like this offer is back.

Received via email for 3x points at supermarkets.

I would typically use my Platinum Edge, but might switch to Signature just to encourage further offers like this.

Just completed the 3x offer - 4.5 ppd - and 20k points in the bag. Even better, with the new rewards side I don't have to keep spending to bring the total up to a multiple of 15,000.

Wow, didn't realise they'd removed the annoying 15K transfer blocks. Makes life a lot easier now.

Wish I'd get some bonus points offers. Supermarket spend doesn't interest me that much with the platinum edge, but a month of tripple points on all spend would be a nice bonus to buying some miles.

Maybe I use my card too much and they don't think I need any encouragement to use it.

Spot on! My Signature had been dormant for 6 months +
I think that is why I got the "unrestricted" offer to shop at any merchant, too

Wow, didn't realise they'd removed the annoying 15K transfer blocks. Makes life a lot easier now.

Still a minimum of 15k but then there is a slider to choose how many to transfer, up to and including your points total.
