Cases like the Rangoon Round 3 (LX) and UA pax just pushed it too far. Couldn't accept you win some you lose some.
well.. pointsguy told everybody who bought the mistake fares to bombard the DOT with complaints after the round of mistake fares before the AA incident were not honoured (the DOT sided with airline because people were using danish addresses to book the tickets)... but on reading the articles about that incident there were about 10,000 complaints about the airline not honouring an obvious mistake fare, which is not what the DOT ruling was implemented for in the first place.
