Tru by Hilton

Points may be earned for stay at any hotel or resort in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of brands.

I do like your optimism. A quality worth keeping indeed (and I do hope you're right), but......the key word there is "may". Point/stay/night credits are not awarded on lot's of Hilton brand stays. It would not breach that statement if they continue to ignore HHonors altogether for TRU stays(which currently is the case it would seem).

I'm assuming that it will certainly be HHonors eligible as the advertising infographic they released to media, mentions HHonors members ( an image of this is on One Mile at a Time's write up)

I guess it falls into the wait and see category.

The room size would be somewhere between 22 - 26 sq metres. Not huge but more than adequate.

If the price is right then it would be worth staying here.

They'll penetrate north american markets first. Will be a long while, if at all, they go beyond.

Haven't they already given the price. US$90-US$100. I'd be curious if that price is considered right by readers of this thread. I've said no for me personally, but there are many variables, so how about it.........is the price right?

PS....I've previously guestimated H-SYD rooms to be about 29m2 (I may be corrected on that though), or 4m2 bigger than the larger of these TRU rooms and H-SYD's most common complaint is the miniscule size of the dogbox rooms.

Saw the reference to price. Kind of on the expensive side. Could get even more expensive as availability decreases.

Good news. I'll go and read it now to see how it compares.
