TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

"Hinterland", on Netflix, is a BBC police drama series set in Wales. From my experience, Wales doesn't often feature in films and TV shows from Britain, so it's a nice change. I recommend it!!
Dr Who is filmed in and around Cardiff. Now that I have been there it gives me an opportunity to try to recognise locales.

Anyone watching ‘Emily in Paris’??I think I will hate that the American Emily will create an impact but the Paris scenery in simply wonderful.
Yes. I watched this a few weeks ago. I thought it was great. Just light escapist TV. French stereotypes (and American) were quite amusing. The scene in the 2nd last episode with the grumpy fashion designer and the Crème Brûlée is quite hilarious.

Plenty of reviews around.

Gomorra on SBS demand is my new favourite. I was a bit go hum after the first ep, hooked after the second. Gritty, perhaps not as hard hitting as the film version, but there’s already 3 seasons on SBS to watch, so the intensity will build, no doubt. Looking forward to a bit more tonight after eating dinner from a restaurant off a plate/bowl instead of from a plastic takeaway tub (Go Melbourne!! )

Watched first episode of this last night. Interesting. Looks good.

Only issue is watching NC trying to act.

I found it very slow to start..... hopefully the next episode will be better. Visually it was a feast for the eyes, though :P

I"ll never understand why Nicole Kidman is highly regarded as an actress, to me she is just herself in almost evey role, up tight and largely unlikeable. Seeing her name on credits is a huge deterrent to me watching any production.

This drip feeding episodes on streaming services is annoying me. Waiting til there are a decent number of eps of Discovery and Mandalorian to binge.

I noticed last week season 2 of the Canadian version of The Coroner is finally airing, have 4 eps stockpiled to watch this weekend.

Could not agree more. How she was prised praised for the "Emperor's new Clothes" performance in the dreadful Moulin Rouge is completely beyond me. The only saving grace of that movie was the fabulous performance of Richard Roxborough as the Duke of Monroth, who in an interview said he was looking for a voice and tone for the role and based it on the Australian Foreign Minister at the time. :)

Discovery and Mandalorian new series is good. IMHO. Mandalorian is a lovely "Western" set in space.

Haven't see the Coroner (saw the English version some time ago but not caught up with the Canadian version.

Looks good. Hmm ... I need to go to Wales, although I've been a bit down on Dr Who ever since they got rid of the Major and Daleks flew.

Have not seen it.

Do you mean this one though?
