Do the shares need to be CHESS-sponsored or do smaller value custodian options count? What proof of shareholdings are needed?

Mine are Chess sponsored.
When I became a holder some years back I received a welcome letter from TWE so they knew I was a shareholder.
Just make sure you keep the letter, you might need it down the track like I did.

Finally bought some shares so could join Cellar Door. It has some good cheap clearance deals but so far the mark downs on stuff I want like Seppelts St Peter is no better than you can get from joining Seppelts wine club direct.
