Sorry I'm not a thread starter these days but it just struck me yesterday on my flight back from MEL to SYD that I can't recall a flight in recent times (and the past couple of years possibly!) that this "delightfully funny" show hasn't been on TV in-flight. "Two And A Half Laughs" would be a serious overstatement.
What's worse is that they only seem to have about three episodes. Please Qantas I know it must have been cheap but can't you show something else?? Channel 9 doesn't even show it any more does it?
I never hear a single laugh from anyone while watching. Compare this with when I went to Perth a while back and they showed 'Kenny' - half the plane were p!ssing themselves laughing!
"Thank God You're Here" is about the only other show I think I've seen on the plane in recent years and it's a hundred times better and funnier.

[end rant]

Yes I agree, they don't tend to program their viewing for those of us who are on a QF flight a few times a month.

Luckily I tend to just zone out with my ipod these days, though I must confess to enjoying the John Butler Trio concert they were showing on each flight in Nov.

Quite common to hear most of the plane laughing out loud when they show Top Gear. And even when its a repeat it can still be quite entertaining.

Personally I am sick of seeing Deborah Hutton all the time, I can't stand her.

I think the loudest laughter from all the PAX I have heard is when Kath and Kim is on... Still gets me everytime, such a great show :p

The epsiode last month on QF had them at a woolworths supermarket at one stage, not unusual in itself, however when it came to checkout time when the operator asked if they had "flybuys" at the end of the transaction

I agree with OP, it's one show on QF that I detest and tune out too. Sadly, it seems to be a common occurrence on the BNE-CNS flights.

That and Thank God You're Here have me in stitches. The looks from other passengers who don't get the humour, priceless. :p

I am actually sick and tired of the QANTAS programming... seems to be full of ads.. I am more than happy to pay the $5 for something decent to watch on DJ

I don't mind the shows, but none of them are much fun on the third or subsequent viewings!

CX IFE has ads on the flightpath channel, and also at the start of every show. Gets tiring after a while. You also learn not to try and ffwd through it as 2x speed actually means "very fast" and you end up 2 mins into the show, then doing a weird shuffle trying to get back to the start, and in the end you just give up and watch the ad anyway...

I like Two and A Half Men and I think Charlie Sheen is a brilliant actor/comedian.

I know QF does not show many episodes but the show is in its 5th season and there have been over 100 episodes....

I see it IS still on TV - it was tonight anyway.

Sheen is okay but the whining brother and obnoxious kid drive me up the wall.

QF used to run endless repeats of Friends didn't they?

Yes over here in US on AA "Two and a Half Men" is the new "Everybody Loves Raymond"

Agree with the comment about "Kenny", I watched this film on a flight to Perth last year and 90% of the plane were in fits of laughter!!

Strangely if I do watch QF IFE on a domestic flight I prefer 2 1/2 men to Kath & Kim .. guess my lack of an aussie sense of humour contributes to that. I tend though to stick to laptop TV.

I don't think it is anything to do with an "aussie sense of humour". I would also much prefer 2 & 1/2 men to Kath & Kim, and consider myself as having a good aussie sense of humour. Its just personal taste. But I definitely agree with others, give me Kenny and more episodes of Top Gear please.

Psssst! Don't mention the 25 channels available on Virgin Blue because it makes you sound like a love-struck over-the-top borderline fake campaigner. :o

BTW, I noticed yesterday on SYD-MEL-SYD that L2A is now $4.90. Weird that it went down 10 cents. Maybe it sounds better?

The most interesting Qantas domestic entertainment I've seen was a special on the Sydney Plane Spotters that they played on a few weekend flights last year.

Interesting to see the short segment, and unusual for an airline to recognise Plane Spotters!

As for everything else, most airlines have similar programming. If you fly more than 2 or 3 International segments, you've seen most of what's available that month!

I stand corrected, and on longer flights it is $9.90... what's up with that... however I am always happy to accept a decrease..

And thanks for pointing out the number of channels ;) I must say I am a DJ convert away from Qantas... only a whisker away fro being Gold... free lounge access woohoo!!!
