Well done! It takes a bit of flying to get to 50,000 SC's especially if you take advantage of discount fares. I made it to Gold on right on the my anniversary date in Nov so I am just starting all over to gain renewal. I don't think I will make it back to QFF Gold this year though.

That is so true... most of my flights are on the cheap. I have completed 50 flights on DJ since Jan 1 last year. One of those flights I got for free due to cancellation, therefor no points awarded, otherwise I think I would be there by now. I have two more flights scheduled MEL-SYD-MEL and need 1790 points, s/c by Jan 31.

It would be interesting to do the comparison on flights to see where I would have been at with QF vs DJ in terms of status, and how much extra that would have cost. We have a best price on day policy, and the price diff can be anywhere from $10 up to several hundred... might start taking some notes for this year..
