Re: Should I stay or should I go (EuroZone)

Brexit could make trips to the US more expensive for Aussies.

Re: Should I stay or should I go (EuroZone)

At 12:40pm, the current state of play according to the link I posted above:
Where we stand
Here is the state of play in the EU referendum after 347 of 382 turnouts declared and 61 of 382 results:
Remain has received 2,053,897 votes, or 50.8% of the total.
Leave has received 1,987,753 votes, or 49.2% of the total.
Based on the turnouts reported so far, the estimated winning post is 16,801,763 votes.
This means Remain would need 14,747,866 more votes to win.
Leave would need 14,814,010 more votes to win.
Based on the number of votes cast so far, the estimated winning post is 16,159,287 votes.

Share market down 2%+.

The sort of cough that's going on today in the casino, oops I mean share market, is exactly why many people steer their money into property rather than stocks ...

Interesting. 15 mins ago, there was virtually no yellow within the English borders (yellow = remain).

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

So Scotland want to stay, Wales want to leave, NI looks like its heading toward stay. Most of the rural areas are for leaving and the cities for staying. With a lot of London counted and not to many big cities left I'd say the UK is putting its coat on.

For me it just represents another good opportunity to buy, for the long term, into solid businesses at a discount price. :)

I wonder if some of the denser populated areas might lean towards remain and are still to declare? If not it is looking like Brexit.

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

Interesting situation with Scotland. If the overall vote is to leave, and Scotland has voted strongly to stay, I wonder if there will be demands for a new Scotland separation referendum, based on the Scottish separatist saying 'Hey, you got your 'No' vote last time on the assumption that we were still part of Europe.'

BritExit Victory CNBC Pound lowest level since 1985 EU will be counting it's time .... Won't be so pushy!
