Unable to access QP at OOL [Closed April 2021 for Renovations]

Of course there would be emergency exits most of the time (as per fire regulations), but they are usually far away from your usual things, via some back alleyway, well away from check in desk where the dragons are, so they may just say it's not worth it. Who knows. I'm not defending or criticising of them not letting people in, I'm just simply saying these things are a lot more complex, it's not 'just a door' and 'why not just push it open', and can be a bigger PITA than what people expect, having worked in that controls automation industry.
Oh. No-one is suggesting anything nefarious here. 🤭

So, the big green button on the inside doesn’t open the door without power. I had thought that this released the mechanism which kept the door closed. Apparently not.
If its anything like the automatic doors in my building it has a 12 volt battery backup. Push the "big green button" and they will open, even if the power is off
