Unable to find my seat selection on QF website

We are booked on QF94 on July 22 and when I try to preselect our seats, I get the option of window or aisle.
Its been like that for 2 weeks.
We came over on QF93 which was a Dreamliner, and I thought we were going back on the same aircraft, but could it be that we will be on a 380 instead, and that is why there are no options?
I'm not overly fussed but wondering if anyone has any clues on reasons.
Thanks
Alan

Check out this possible explanation by @MEL_Traveller :

I had a similar experience with QF93 several months ago which was originally an A380 upon booking. After the aircraft changed to a B787 I could not re-select the new seats I had been allocated because there simply were none as the smaller plane was now full.

As per the thread at the link above, it’s not necessarily “full” but seeing available seats is linked to QF/OW status. There are surprisingly few seats readily available to non-status PAX flying in J for example (varies by aircraft type).

What class are you booked in? J is pretty full, PE chokers but the blocked seats will free up T-80 and whY looks reasonably open.

Set your alarm and dive in exactly at T-80.

This gets more interesting by the day.
We are both SG.
The booking was made by a travel agent in Adelaide. I was able to select our seats adl-mel and mel-lax without any issues, then we got upgraded on both flights to J, and again, I was able to select our seats inside T-80.
My travel agent itineray shows us in 22j/k on QF94 on july 20 - which is interesting as EF seems to show them available.
We have J upgrades in for this flight as well.
I just miss the fun of logging in and seeing what seats are there, and sometimes moving around in the cabin until we score a bulkhead!
Thanks all.
Alan

We are now well inside t-80, and still only getting the window/aisle option.
Guess we just keep checking back.

If you are happy to private message me your booking reference + all passenger names + what seating arrangement you want I'll see what I can do about getting you seats assigned.

Thank you so much - as I said before, I do know our seat numbers. Maybe I just like to "have control" over my booking lol. I'll send you the details as I'd like to try for bulkhead seats if they are available.
Thanks again
Alan
