Hi, I am travelling Adel/Bris tomorrow. Weeks ago I requested a business upgrade with points. But as I havent heard I decided to link a lounge pass anyway - as the next one expires on Sep 4 I figure I have nothing to lose.
However when I tried to to this my flight does not show on the lounge pass invitation page so unable to link. Tried to ring
Qantas this morning and not much help, just said if it doesnt show my flight is not eligible?
But as far as I know the Adelaide Qantas lounge is open - so why not eligible? Is it because I have already requested and upgrade (which I dont know yet if I will get) ?
Thanks

Yes, I actually think that makes sense.

The only logical purpose of the “linking” process was to manage potential overcrowding at certain times.

QF may be blocking all passes for that lounge, that day or maybe that flight if they know X number of QC,SG and WPs are likely to be in the lounge. Plus reduced capacity due to restrictions.

Thanks for your response. As it happens my points upgrade came throught today so all good, except my lounge pass expires in Sep - and the next one in Nov so guess wont get to use them.

Thats what my expiry says. I will have to check into that when I get back. Thanks

Or mayb e they had already been extended and now due to run out again. As havent been flying , not really checked on all that.

I'm flying MEL -> ADL -> DOH -> BCN on a classic reward next week. The MEL -> ADL leg is in Y, and rest is in J.

I assume this means no lounge access in MEL, but seeing as I have a bunch of complimentary invitations in my account I might as well use one.

However on the lounge invitations page, it doesn't show any option to link it to my upcoming flight.

Any ideas why? There's no mention of capacity restrictions in the MEL lounge.

I think you've already got access due to your J international flight.

Correct but it has been known for the QF staff to refuse access prior to the domestic leg.
I know because it happened to my daughter at SYD J lounge connecting onwards to QF9.

I had the same problem last November when travelling PER-ADL. I went to the lounge with a screen shot of the non-event, and she fixed it on the spot.

What did you show a screenshot of? The Oneworld lounge access rules?

Since the swap, from when the MEL QP that become the MEL J lounge, and the MEL QFd QP took 2nd place, the MEL QFd J lounge would indeed be a nice one.
Tried it once about 18 months ago, didn't try the noodle bar though.
Didn't realise that linking of one off invite needed to be linked to my QFF account, it was my last year of QF SG, down to QF PS, that one last invite.
Will definitely try the noodle bar the next time I go into MEL again.

I'm attempting to link a lounge voucher to an upcoming QF booking. I log into my account, visit lounge invitations then click link invitation on the relevant booking.

I am then redirected to https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer/the-qantas-club.html with no indication the linking has worked or confirmation email.

I've tried a few times to no avail, any suggestions?
