Cruser1 has done it again! As a matter of respect and gratitude, here’s his description verbatim:

United Airlines is having a wonderful "sale" on business class flights from Auckland, New Zealand (AKL) to New York City (EWR)!! From Oct 29 to Dec 12 and random dates through the end of schedule a roundtrip can be booked for 3505 NZD or $2101 USD in business class!

This is technically a fare to Dallas (DFW) and the flight is 2 one-way fares, so it'll likely work to other points in the US!

Ticket must be issued by May 17, 2024 (but I doubt this sale will make it to then). No minimum stay. 2 free stopovers in SYD/MEL/AKL/LAX/SFO/HOU. 5 transfers in each direction.
I said this was 2 one-way flights. A one-way to Dallas (DFW) is $1023 USD on either Air New Zealand or United (UA ticket stock for either airline).

For us Aussies we’d need to make our way to NZ on a separate ticket to commence this fare. You might drop the last leg from your final Australian city to NZ for convenience. Or you might even use the last leg at a later datefor a trip to NZ busy using the Australian port as a stopover. Lots of options and flexibility.

Whatever you do, don’t credit your flights to United! Singapore would be a good alternative.

I picked up a one-way to DFW in January next year. AKL - SYD on QF4, then trying out United's longest flight SYD - IAH. Fingers crossed it sticks!

I think I remember all travel should be completed but then but cannot remember.
we fly in jan AKL SYD then wanting to change the rest till later.
