United MileagePlus Premier Status Match Challenge

Thank you for making this clear. I've had thoughts of switching my loyalty from OW to SA so you never know!
If aiming for status with SIA, you will need to be careful about swapping FF details so you get the *G benefits (from UA) but put the miles earned towards SQ. Unfortunately, the SQ website/app is cough for juggling FF numbers.

The two times I’ve used the UA challenge, it was for points flights in whY - so no issue.

Another thing, you might want to consider VFF over *A. The later obviously has the benefit of a proper alliance, but that UA Gold card should work domestically flying VA, plus direct SQ flights to VA. Others here will comment/correct me if that’s a good or dumb idea!

I have Qantas lifetime gold, hence no expiry date. My application is rejected as incomplete and this is the only error I can find. I think the submitted document may be scanned for the word "Expiry" which doesnt exist on my account anywhere! Any suggestions as to how to get through this barrier?

Did you fly enough last year to earn Gold in its own right (i.e. earn at least 600 status credits)? If so, perhaps you can send a copy of your QFF activity statement for the past year to prove that you actually took lots of flights.

UA status match had to be, for me, easiest. Took like 10 secs to get platinum status (albeit for six months)

Just applied for the UA status match. Had a few glitches. The UA form wouldn't accept my photo of my qf card. Said file was too big and then couldn't read it. However taking a screen shot of the card on the QF app worked. Approved instantly. That's superb. Got a visit to MCO and HNL coming up Sept/Oct and have some UA flights. Won't be dropping $3.9k on UA metal to complete the challenge though. Wonder if award flights count towards the challenge. I guess not...

I just tried to get the status match for my husband via QF. The United automated form wouldn't accept my screenshot of his QF card. In the end I increased the contrast in my photo editor and it was able to be uploaded, The AI must not be able to read the card if there isn't enough contrast. However this time I got a message saying they were processing it. With my application it got accepted immediately.

I applied for my husband to get the status match with UA & QF. It wasn't accepted straightaway. This is now 7 days ago. Does anyone know how long this takes? We are travelling next week. I tried to ring the Premier line to enquire what's happening with the status match and the person didn't know what I was talking about. Does anyway have any experience on this? I want to reserve some economy plus seats for adult children travelling with us.
