Will be spending four weeks in Europe - first four nights in Holland, about 10 nights in Germany (mostly Rhine/Moselle region, Black Forest and Stuttgart areas), about 7 nights in the Allsace region in France, five nights in Sweden and three nights in Denmark. Already have an iphone which for various reasons would like to leave at home. Looking to buy 2 unlocked smart phones for wife and myself for the trip.

Not sure if best to buy the phones in Oz or wait till Europe. I am aware that sim cards will most likely need to be purchased for each country. From the initial seacrhes I have done the universal sim cards for Europe seem to be an expensive option. What is probably more important is smart phone use such as emails and internet with minimal outgoing calls and some incoming calls.

My budget would be up to $150 for each phone.

Any advice or tips would be most appreciated.
