"Unmissable" 24 hour sale

I needed a flight SYD-MEL, so booked one, ok price $79 + $7.70. Noticed on seat selection that exit rows are now marked as "Space+".

The VA sale also forced down QF so I was able to get rid of a few QF credits I had hanging around.
Argh. Didn't think to check QF although I am not really ready to book that far ahead just yet.

What gets me with these gimmicky sales is why they are both persevering with their ridiculous airfares outside of sales.

Gladstone, Geraldton ..... Same same but different hahaha. :P

I hear some flights to Gladstone on VA are now being done via Rockhampton...

maybe true, I fly between ROK and MKY and QF is my only option. But was told that VA will start to offer that route next month. So looks like VA will start a milk run.

Surely not? I could understand VA perhaps doing BNE-ROK-MKY, but BNE-GLT-ROK?? Considering that it's a 60 minute drive between the two towns, I can't imagine there'd be much demand.

A cursory glance at BNE-GLT next month shows all services as being "non-stop", however I notice that one return service a day for BNE-ROK is being done by Alliance in a F100 (mid September for those playing at home)...I'm guessing they're down an E90 or two perhaps?
