Just received an email saying that I will get an additional MR point on my Amex Business (Accelerator in my case) card for spend on items of $5K+ (up to 100K bonus points). T&Cs below but specifically excludes ATO. Would seem to work for airfares if paid in AUD

*If you are receiving this email you have been auto enrolled into this offer. The Offer is eligible for Card Members who currently hold a Membership Rewards enrolled American Express Business Card issued by American Express Australia Limited. Consumer Cards, Corporate Cards and Cards where spend is locked down to say 1 specific merchant are excluded from the offer. Card Members will receive one Membership Rewards Bonus Point for every dollar spent on an individual eligible purchase of $5,000 AUD or more. Eligible Purchases must be made in Australia dollars between 00:01 9 November 2015 (AEDT) and 23:59 on 19 December 2015 (AEDT) and excludes spend at the Australian Taxation Office, Octet, American Express Foreign Exchange International Payments, Rental Rewards/Zenith Payment, Payment Logic and Reward Pay. Transactions which are subsequently cancelled or refunded will not receive the Bonus Points. Each Eligible Purchase is rounded down to the nearest dollar, and the Bonus Point will be awarded against that balance. E.g. a $5,000.85 Eligible Purchase will be rounded down to $5,000 and the Card Member will receive 5,000 Bonus Points. This offer is capped at 100,000 Bonus Points per Card. Bonus Points will be applied on individual transactions. Membership Rewards points are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program available at membershiprewards.com.au/termsandconditions. Please allow 12-15 weeks for the Bonus Points to be credited to your account. Full Terms and Conditions available here.
