Hi I have that flight as having 9 available J seats and 2 in Y. Depending on your QF status you have a reasonable chance of your upgrade coming through. With only 2 Y seats left this flight provides a possible op-up oppurtunity for WP members btu nothing is guaranteed. I find when J is light and Y is full an op-up is a high chance but not guaranteed.
I have PE as fall back. Currently i do have exit row seat booked. does that help or not help me getting an upgrade?Your best (and arguably only) chance of an upgrade is to leave the points upgrade request in! Note that Qantas Platinum's will be upgraded before you.
I take it you have ticked the fall back position of Prem Eco.

I would say Y is overbooked as they would factor in a 'no show' factor. I can only see 1 seat for sale.

Normally they say that try to be at airpot as late as you can rather than early to get a op-up. Also on my way back on QF30 i am booked on B class. Can you access EF or some other tool to see what the load is. I am returing on 10th
Maybe an QF insider could advise - late or early to the airport on a 'full' flight' with an UGR in play? Maybe there is no hard and fast rule?
