Per the Qantas FF terms and conditions, upgrade requests can only be accepted between 90 days and 24 hours before the flight. I expect 26th Nov is when the 90 day window opens for your flight.I am trying to lodge an upgrade request for a QF flight but I keep getting this message -
Request period opens
26 Nov
Any clues on why I am getting this and what I can do about it?

Give it time for the system to open up the upgrade option. What time of day is the flight scheduled to depart? I don't know if the system opens for all upgrade requests at the same time of day, or if each flight is opened exactly 90x24 hours before scheduled departure. But that's today, so why haven't they opened the request period?
I had this problem with a flight back from the USA. As they are 16 odd hours behind us, and the flight didn't leave LAX until 10pm at night it meant that I couldn't actually put in for the upgrade until 1-2 days after the 'request' period. Hang in there and keep trying until it will let you.
Thanks Serfty, great idea, they have logged the upgrade request manually.
Almost guaranteed but more than likely they speak English although their command of the English may not be adequate.Perhaps QF off-shored their drafting to a country that doesn't speak English.
AA Platinum is Oneworld Sapphire which is the equivalent to QF Gold.I gotta ask those around, I did a family transfer to myself (as I am and AA Plat) is this gonig to affect my ability to get upgraded? Do they treat OW pax like those on QFF? or do i end up behind the bronze ball?
