Re: QF52 - Standing room only!

Classic!

I didn't know upgrades from Standing were permitted on QF. Last time I checked, you had to be booked into Sleeper (floor) class.

Re: QF52 - Standing room only!

I thought I had read something similar, but in my limited search I didn't find it. Feel free to move it to one of the other threads (or delete it)

My upgraded MEL-PER-MEL trip next month which has long been showing something like (as previously reported by myself and a few others)

"Note: Your upgrade from Melbourne to Perth has been declined".

now shows (only noticed this today)

"Note: Your upgrade from Melbourne to Perth has been confirmed"

Though the details below that remain unchanged:

Status: Confirmed
Upgrade status: Declined
Class: Business (U)
Flight Duration: 4h 05m
QuickCheck available at this airport

So they're ever so slowly rectifying it.

Yup, looks like it has been fixed ...

Note: Your upgrade from Sydney to Cairns has been confirmed.

Slightly O/T again:

Say you book on the QF booking engine a flight from BNE-ADL.

Some of the options will say BNE-ADL direct, others may be via MEL or SYD.

If you book BNE-MEL-ADL, both flights will be on the same PNR.

When registering for an upgrade, will you:

a) Have the option of upgrading each sector (e.g. BNE-MEL or MEL-ADL)?
b) Have only the option of upgrading both sectors?

Try it!

You will see that each sector must be separately requested.

So, answer to your question is you have the option of upgrading each sector separately.

Thanks!

Didn't want to "try it!", because that would require purchasing the ticket first. I'm tossing up routing and upgrade options. Just needed to keep that in mind.

And they still haven't fixed that annoying mixed HTTP/SSL zone message!
Isn't that fixed by modifying you browsers security settings?

IE - Tools - Options - security - custom level - Enable "Display mixed content" (about half way through the list)
