Are you referring to NZ members or VA ? NZ will continue to access the QF lounge according to the NZ site

Although I think Star Alliance fare rules should entitle NZ status and J pax access to the SQ lounge if it's open, regardless of any arrangement that NZ and QF has?

I guess what is the better lounge SQ or QF?

Tho reading the SQ website ... It reads as it opens only for the VA flights only at around the same time the NZ flight departs ( 1925 or 2045 depending on the day )
0530 - 0740 hours (SQ224 only)
Daily: 1300 -1600hours
2200 - 0105 hours

Also opened for the following VA flights:
VA 4149, departing 1210 hours
VA 4173, departing 1425 hours
VA 4134, departing 1205hours
VA 4138, departing 1935 hours
VA 1909, departing 1030 hours
VA1911, departing 1300 hours

Thanks, without checking I had assumed the SYD-AKL codeshare was on that list of flight numbers (which I've now found is VA8096). Although if the SQ lounge is open for VA4138 then it should, by extension, open for VA8096 which usually departs ten minutes before VA4138. Hopefully the contract with SQ doesn't specificy the exact flight numbers listed on the SQ website.

So I just tried to access the Silver Kris Lounge in Perth, when traveling on NZ176 to AKL (I'm Platinum on Velocity). I was told that they only give access to VA operated flights, and not to any code shares or partners. Argument followed, but the lounge dragon was insistent that this is what had been agreed with Virgin.

Pretty disappointing, given that this contradicts what is on the Velocity website. Seems like there is a communications breakdown somewhere.
