I've searched the forum but to no avail ... a colleague is travelling to NO via DFW in afew weeks ... D fare ticket in J and wanting to use points to upgrade ... QF says "no upgrades available" on the SYD-DFW leg, yet there are first seats showing available ... apart from phoning and pleading :( is there a way to try and book a points upgrade?

All advice gratefully received!

There is no 1st class for sale on this route, it's just 3 class. Although the 1st seats are available it will be a 'business' service.

There is nowhere to upgrade to!

Business, Premium Econ and Economy are the only classes sold.

The trick is to get Business class seat pre-allocation in the Flat First Class seats in Zone A - what status is your colleague?
