Hi all, you helped me out a few months ago when I asked how to book a domestic US flight on AA with my Qantas points.

Well, now I urgently have to change that flight to a completely different date!

Do you know how I go about this? And is it better to cancel the original flight and book a new one, or just change the current flight?

Thanks in advance so much for your help!

Thank you! Yes, I believe I can change them online. I will try rebooking. Fingers crossed.

If you can't rebook online you can call reservations. While they will still charge you the 5000 point change fee, there shouldn't be an assistance fee as it can't be completed online.

Thank you! I definitely can reschedule it online. I just have to confirm the dates tomorrow. Hopefully there will be seat availability on the dates that I need -- otherwise I will just have to cancel. But it's good to know that I can call to cancel and hopefully won't be charged an assistance fee.
