ok just after somee quick advice

in buenos aires from 2nd nov til the 7th nov before flying to sao paulo on the 9th november.

we were planning on getting the buquebus across to montevideo for 2 nights. Now because of a few issues with flights/ferries back to get our 1pm flight from BA to Sao Paulo, we may have to look at coming back on the 8th in the evening and just staying the night in BA. At first i was thinking of canning montevideo all together as i was thinking one night will be pointless

There seems to be plenty of day trip tours to montevideo meaning im thinking that 2 days/one night there may be enough (Ferry over early on the 7th and back late on the 8th).

Now for the people in the know will this be enough? and what do you recomend to do there in this time as i do not know alot about what i should be doing/seeing in montevideo?

cheers in advance.

I had an extended stay in the region about 4 years ago and found Montevideo largely underwhelming after spending a few months in BA. Montevideo seemed like a much smaller, quieter, safer and more conservative cousin of BsAs. If you are really wanting to see Uruguay I would recommend Punta Del Este if you feel like some beach time amongst the 'beautiful people', otherwise you'd be better off staying in Argentina IMHO. Hope that helps.

Thnaks for the advice

going to just spend one night in montevideo instead of the two, should give nearly 2 full days there should be enough and we will just spend that second night back in BA. Will make it easier for us to catch out flight from BA to sao paulo the next day also.
