US Global Entry Program for Australian citizens [from 2025]

Been following this thread for a while; as an update, I applied for GE 18th Jan, background check completed 21st Jan, GE interview booked and attended at Newark (as already in the US) for 27th, final approval received 28th. Was told card would be delivered within 1 month, but can start using immediately as I known have the known traveller ID. All up, 10days from application to approval.

Just FYI you don’t get a card as foreign passport/ resident.
Doesn’t matter most places. Only been stopped once at ORD by someone sorting queues to show it Told her I don’t have or need one and kept moving.

Is this because they only send GE, ABTC (US/CAN) and NEXUS cards to US and Canadian addresses? I have NEXUS membership which requires the physical card and it can only be mailed within US and Canada.

So if you put a US/CAN mailing address in your TTP profile would you get a GE card?

I have GE as a non-citizen, living in the US, and do not get a card. It's just for US citizens, LPRs and Mexican Citizens Global Entry Card

Anyone had any idea how long the background check’s are taking? Submitted mine Thursday evening and says ‘pending background check’ on the AUSCHECK portal so wanted to see if anyone has any idea :)
UPDATE. Global Entry conditionally approved now able to do entry on arrival on next trip in May! :)

Just received my Australian background check clearance and CBP conditional approval! Happy days. Having spent 90 mins standing in line yesterday at T4 JFK, this will be a game changer. Just a shame it came through 12 hours too late or I could have done my interview on arrival yesterday - I was longingly looking at people doing global entry on arrival as I stood there!

For those interested in timing - Australian background check submitted 27 Jan and received 31 Jan with CBP conditional approval immediately following Aust clearance.

A bit late to the game, my wife applied for GE a few hours ago. We noticed some discrepancies between USCBP and Home Affairs. TTP/CBP says you need to have traveled to the US five times in the last calendar year, but Home Affairs says five times in the 12 months before applying. She took four trips in the latter half of 2024 and three trips in January 2025. So, she meets Home Affairs' rule but not CBP's. Will she get a notice if she isn't eligible, or didn't make it into the lucky 1000?

She qualifies. The 5 trip requirement is solely an Australian requirement for the purposes of eligibility in the initial 1000 person pilot program. CBP has no requirement for number of trips to the US and does not consider this in assessing your application.
