US Global Entry Program for Australian citizens [from 2025]

Sorry my last response confusing on one point - your boarding pass for the onward US flight would need to have “TSA PreCheck” printed on it. iAlso just because you have GE doesn’t mean you will always get TSA Precheck on your boarding pass - sometimes the system will randomly withhold it. It is rare but can happen - think of it like a spot audit. A bit like the dreaded “SSSS”
Your boarding pass for a U.S. flight must have **"TSA PreCheck"** printed on it to access the expedited security lane. Even if you have **Global Entry (GE)**, which includes TSA PreCheck benefits, the system may occasionally withhold PreCheck from your boarding pass as part of a random spot audit or system glitch. This is rare but can happen, similar to being selected for the **"SSSS"** (Secondary Security Screening Selection) on your boarding pass, which requires additional screening. Always double-check your boarding pass to ensure PreCheck is listed before heading to the airport. It's all very complicated. I have always had SSSS and am in the same league as Tulsi Gabbard. (at least)

Not the same case for me, AU background check was completed in 2 days, got an "eligible" status after background check was completed and that was 6 hours ago.
Haven't heard from CBP yet, GE website still says "Pending Review"
I guess it's not for everyone then and will depend what your country of birth is even if you're an AU citizen...
Disappointing

Your country of birth probably isn't the reason your background check isn't "automatically" done. More likely, it's because you share a similar name with someone in their database. They’ll probably have to manually go through all the profiles to make sure you’re not that person. Unfortunately, there’s no better way to handle it, even if CBP wants to.

A bit late to the game, my wife applied for GE a few hours ago. We noticed some discrepancies between USCBP and Home Affairs. TTP/CBP says you need to have traveled to the US five times in the last calendar year, but Home Affairs says five times in the 12 months before applying. She took four trips in the latter half of 2024 and three trips in January 2025. So, she meets Home Affairs' rule but not CBP's. Will she get a notice if she isn't eligible, or didn't make it into the lucky 1000?
We got an email from Home Affairs saying her application is now undergoing a background check. Looks like they are satisfied with her number of trips, and she made it into the first 1000.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has experiences on how long it takes for final approval after you successfully finish an Enrollment on Arrival interview. Would the approval be on the spot (for example, do EOA at DFW, then TSA Pre is available going through security on my onward journey)?
Slightly different as I booked an appointment for an interview, however, following the interview, I was told I would receive the decision within 48hrs. In reality, the email with final approval came through the following day.

That could be it, but I got a couple US visas and went through their clearance check a couple years ago already, got the SSSS a couple times in the last few years as well on my boarding pass while flying to the US which made me apply for DHS's redress number and got that as well.
So I'd assume they already know who I am and the name conflict shouldn't be an issue.
But you never know...
