OKThe receipt is the QR code you get on completion at arrival. Not that they actually check, it’s all electronic so as soon as you handover your passport they can see you’ve used the app.
You can prepare the form beforehand and then when you arrive you do the submission then. Can you only do it on arrival or can you do it a day before?

I would think it's just the app itself, the confirmation screen you get after submitting your details. That's all I showed last week - and that was just to get into the line, the CBP officer didn't look at my phone at all.I was not lucky last time at LAX with this app - no lines!
For future info, the app says have "travel docs and MPC receipt ready"
Where do I get the MPC receipt?
What do I select on the section asking for purpose of travel / Class of Admission (COA).
As a Visa Waiver holder, I am given the options of:
I am attending a conference, and my original ESTA application didn't specify either of the above.
- WB - Visa Waiver Business
- WT - Visa Waiver Tourist/leisure.
Thanks, what's confusing me is that the original ESTA form for getting the Visa Waiver never stipulated either.WB for conferences.
No, and the ESTA doesn't need to as it covers eligibility to enter in general. WB/WT is specific to each entry into the country. Thanks, what's confusing me is that the original ESTA form for getting the Visa Waiver never stipulated either.
Oh yes I see that now, have my passport here:No, and the ESTA doesn't need to as it covers eligibility to enter in general. WB/WT is specific to each entry into the country.
The WB/WT thing was in the past established by the immigration agent you would speak to. They would circle - or actually maybe they wrote (don't have my passport at work) - WB or WT when they stamped your passport.
So, I have WBs for conference entries and WTs for our family holidays .
Do you have any hints on how to find the MPC lane at LAX?LAX wasn’t a mess for me, only two people in MPC lane, through in less than 5 mins. Yes, you had to check and follow the signs.
If they have updated the signage to clearly mark the MPC entry use that, otherwise follow the signs to GE.Do you have any hints on how to find the MPC lane at LAX?
The signs were pretty prominent from memory but there was also someone to ask anyway.Do you have any hints on how to find the MPC lane at LAX?
Do they have signs at DFW?Just arrived into DFW, used the MPC lane, through Customs in less than two minutes..Best entry into USA ever!
At Terminal D (where QF flies into at least), it was directly next to the Global Entry line. So as you come down the escalators and enter the customs hall, it was the second line, with a MPC banner above the queue ropes. But nothing in advance to let you know that such a queue exists. The CBP staff manning the Global Entry lines were calling across the MPC queue also if they were free so it moved very quickly. All they do is take a photo and then ask questions, didn't even need to scan passport.Do they have signs at DFW?
Two entries this year and nothing.
Thankyou - both times I was off AA and came in at the other end from there. I did ask where the MPC queue was and was simply directed to the normal lanes. (It was pretty quiet anyway.)At Terminal D (where QF flies into at least), it was directly next to the Global Entry line.
