An online forum. I wouldn't define it as social media, IMHO of course :)

Which is of course a form of social media

From Merriam-Webster:

[h=2]Definition of social media[/h]

  • : forms of electronic communication (as websites for social networking and microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content (as videos)

And you call AFF????
Not social media. We've had this discussion in the past and I haven't changed my opinion since that discussion.

This is not difficult. Let's say I had a Twitter account @I'vehadenough and I was visiting the USA. They don't need to know I have a twitter account and have referred to those from the USA as paranoid. There are no lie detector tests and there are no clairvoyants and I volunteer the information I want to volunteer not what they think I should volunteer. It really is that simple. Not even worth debating.

AFF is difficult. The link is on my smartphone and logs straight in. Same for email. Same for Flyertalk. If they take phone off ne there is nothing I can do to stop them.

Either way I am not afraid of Big Brother. I am an individual. I decide what information I volunteer.

Yes. And agree to disagree.

Probably only relevant to aliens ;)

Oh I know ;).

But don't think I'm not worried about similarly getting the fourth degree when I travel to another country if my government decides to do this to non-citizens...many people here (USA) seem not to know how petty international relations is on these types of things. There's a reason that Brazil charges Aussies money (might have recently gone up?), Canadians ~$80 USD, Americans $160 USD, and Kiwis nothing if they want to visit Brazil :eek:. I'm fully expecting to have to answer to social media questions the next time I go anywhere if this gets implemented.
