Hi I'm heading to the states in April and will have a bit of time to do a status run.
I was looking to try and get 900 SCs or very close to it
I'm offering $100 for the assistance as I guess it could be a little bit of work this close to the date and to fit in other flights

I will have 2 pieces of checked luggage because I will be doing some scuba diving while there though if it's a problem I can check it into a hotel or put it in a locker or something
I'll be landing in San Francisco on Monday morning 11th April
I would like to get to Pensacola FL by the Friday 15th for Diving
and Boston MA by the Wednesday 20th or Thursday 21st
And finally back to San Francisco by Wednesday 27th for the Flight back to Sydney

I figure that ideally I'd like to do the run or most of it between the 11th and 15th

Thanks for reading

I'm looking to keep it under $AU 3000 but a bit over is ok so around $US 2000 probably
Do tell me if that's unrealistic though and what it comes closer to

How much do you enjoy flying? :p

I was able to find a routing that fits into your schedule that would earn you 890 QF status credits at a cost of USD2,212.43 all-up. So, a little under $3,000 with the current exchange rate.

Basically, you would do a return trip from San Francisco to San Juan (staying overnight in San Juan), then another one-way trip from San Francisco to Pensacola to get to your final destination on the 15th. It's a lot of flying - but at least you'd be in F.

Edit: I'm having trouble posting the screenshots of the itinerary from ITA Matrix, so I will write it out...

Excellent, so I would be able to take these to say flight centre and get them to book these(just for the credit card point hack)
or would I have to book these through the AA website?

It seems like a silly question but I would like to be sure

The edit is because I figured out how to use the matrix to enter the individual flights and got the same price as your first booking
Though the other one I could get at $660 with exact same flights somehow

Thanks heaps for this Mattg I think I'll be going with this

You could either book on the AA website, or through a good travel agent. I would not consider Flight Centre a good travel agent, personally - YMMV. Since you've been able to find these on ITA Matrix, an agent should be able to book this for you if you show them the fare information. (If you would like me to get you in touch with a travel agent, send me a PM.) Or you could try to book on the AA website - just make sure it's the US and not the Australian version of the website.

Oh, and well done for finding those last flights cheaper :)

13thVoice,

I just realised that I used an older version of the QFF status credit earn table to calculate your flights. The correct status credit earn will be 860, not 890. This is due to the F flights under 400 miles now earning 30 SCs instead of 40. Apologies.

I believe I have an itinerary that will help you reach your goal:
