Use of QR codes for COVID-19 contact tracing in Australia

Both NSW and QLD apps accepted my kiwi number fine.

@Berlin you are aware there is a NSW as well as Australian travel declaration? Fortunately none for QLD at present.

Oh yes, the declarations were all fine. I was talking about the Covid QR code scanning apps like the NZ Covid tracer one we use over here. Seems way more complicated over in Australia!

For a short trip I have 4 travel declarations (minimum) and 4 apps to use not counting the NZ app. Each declaration has different dates when you or can't complete it.

Things are much simpler in NZ with no states to worry about.

Yep- it was the same mess back in Germany with all the different states (which is one of the main reasons they are currently f@@@***ing up their Covid response) and I remember as a kid to always jealously look over to France where everything's done in Paris.

I guess there's pros and cons for both systems but easier it certainly does not get in a federal system.

Yep its the Check in Qld app (which is a clone of Check in CBR), Qld one of the last states to move to mandatory use of a state based app.

Check In CBR, Check In QLD, Check In TAS, and Territory Check In are all the same app with different branding.

The Victorian and SA ones seem similar
