Does anyone have a good solution to this problem?

I'd like to use the J lounge on arrival but will have checked in a bag which wouldn't make it through security.

Do I:
1. Head to the lounge and let my bag go around the belt until someone picks it up and I deal with it later?
2. Go and pick up the bag and then see if someone will hold it for me? (I can't see that working)
3. Go to lounge and explain situation to angel/dragon in the hope that they can get someone to hold it for me?

Any better ideas?

I think the only real option is 1. But it is a bit of a risk. You may never see your bag again!

Hey I did this in Syd, going into T2? when meeting up with JohnK. The checked in luggage will go through the scanner however you will get everyone telling you it won't fit in overhead luggage space (duh!), also everyone will give you very awkward looks as you walk to the lounge.

It really depends how big the bag is and what’s in it. If you can get it through the X-ray scanners then you’ll get the looks and people telling you it can’t be done, but manage.

The only place I’ve ever been successful is CBR, where I collected my bag and Virgin staff were very happy to store my bag behind the counter (well in a locked room), so I could freshen up in the lounge.

I tried this with Virgin on Saturday. Got the bag, asked the Virgin baggage girl to hold it for 30 mins. She refused as it was against policy. She did offer to hold any sharp items that i may not be able to get through security though. Took my bag all the way back through in the end to go to the lounge.

Put on an American accent and say 'but I take it onboard when I'm in the USssss'.
