Using Velocity points to pay Malaysian Upgrade

Hi...

has anyone successfully used Velocity points to pay for a malaysian airline upgrade from economy to business.

if you are an Enrich member you can use enrich points to upgrade and Malaysian is part of the Velocity program

any clues, tips or disappointments

For most upgrades you can only upgrade a flight number operated by the airline and only with miles from that airline freq flyer program. Codeshare and cross airline upgrade are not possible (with the exception of some very limited Staralliance & Asiamiles (?) upgrades.)

You could try phoning Velocity (as that is where your ff miles are) but be prepared to be dissapointed
