Which *A program is better: KF or UA?

I can send points to KF by spending on CC but most flights will either be UA or AC - in North America

What do you need the program for, miles accrual?? With regard to status, Agean is worth a close look, depending on your travel plans it may well be worth crediting to two different program's, one for status the one for earn/burn.

KF charges substantial fuel surcharges, UA does not. UA had a recent devaluation but actually reduced the number of miles required for Australia-Asia partner redemptions so there is value there. I concur for status Aegean is the way to go. Or investigate if Turkish is still doing status matches.

You can start with a TK status match to get instant lounge access and later credit miles to the airline you fly the most with.
