Rumours on another site suggest VA may launch MEL-SYD-LAX from 3 June with MEL-SYD a tag to VA 1/2

Does anyone have any further information???

I too saw that rumour on "another site". I'm not sure whether to believe it - surely it would be easier just to sell it as VA (codeshare) but put the pax onto a DJ flight.

My thoughts also! I just wanted to throguh it out there as I thought it was a bit strange!

Although I too doubt the rumours, may work Ok with D sticker passengers, good opportunity for "try before you buy", just taking a short/cheap domestic sector, and put a DJ code onto it. I imagine in the morning there also might be good interlining opportunites to to ferry pax down to MEL from other airlines, but the evening departure in the other direction wouldn't work so well for this.

Given the arrival/departure times, PER might just work (now wouldn't that be interesting with nice J and Y+ products across the contintent) .... LAX/SYD arr 7:10 SYD/PER 8:30/11:30 PER/SYD 12:30/18:40 SYD/LAX dep 20:00 ....hmm probably a litte tight. Maybe CNS would work though???
