Just heading to Syd airport and saw a V Australia 777 parked with the new branding. Took a picture as I was driving but don't think you can see it well.

Perhaps one of the mods can correct my iPhone topic to Repaint and not reprint.

Tail looks the same? Can't see anything else?

I drive past the airport often and have a seen a 777 with 'Virgin Australia' branding for a few weeks...

lol guys give him a break - first time he saw the new livery and he was good enough to take a pic for everyone to see.

Thanks mate :D

Thanks for the picture. I haven't seen this at all.

Sent from my iPhone using Aust Freq Fly app so please excuse the lack of links.

I saw a freshly painted Virgin Australia 777 land at MEL yesterday and then another on the tarmac in SYD not long afterwards. It's possible they were the same one, but I'm guessing they've probably repainted more than one since they're not doing the full livery yet.

All the 777's will be fully re-painted and re-configured when they head off to Singapore for a maintanence overhaul in February, Etihad will cover all of V Aus flights until they are overhauled and painted. The new product should be pretty awesome :D

As the 777 have only had a name and flying lady decal applied, technically, they haven't been repainted. ;)

Sorry Jack, that isn't quite right, while the first full repaint and cabin fit-out will happen in the first half of the 2012, it will be done in Singapore.

Sorry, was getting confused with something else ;)

I know its been asked many times, but are there any new routes planned for VA either short-haul or long-haul international?

Please tell me (OK, I guess you probably can't) that the whY+ and J bars remain in the new fit out. Will be v disappointing for me if they've been enhanced away...

New cabin fit-outs?!? Aren't they only a few years old? They looked very new when I flew earlier this year.

I'm sure you will be aware of this as its the biggest complaint of V Australia Y seating - it needs more padding in the base. Even with 2 blankets underneath your the seat is still like a rock.

What is changing with the 777 fit out? I thought the fitout was great when I have flown them. I hope they aren't planning on squeezing another seat into economy as that won't win any fans.

Personally I think we are going to see a better J hard product - but I don't want the seat pitch to decrease in Y, being 32'' is so much nicer than the standard 30-31 inches on other pacific carriers.
