For the first time ever yesterday I was offered a full amenity kit on an Australian domestic flight (BNE-PER). I do note however that I have never flown a transcon red eye sector...

As it was an A330 service maybe these kits were leftover from a previous MEL-HKG flight.

Contents include socks, eyemask, tissues, earplugs, toothbrush, pen and Hunter Lab lip balm.

They handed kits out initially on the BNE-PER A330 flights, different brand though. Mandarin Duck maybe? But haven’t seen them for a long time...

Certainly didn't get one on Christmas Eve. Look good though - I like the socks!

I was on the same sunday night flight just three weeks ago BNE-PER A330 and got an amenity kit in J - but it was one of the previous brand, grey with yellow and barely anything in it.

They used to hand the amenity kits out on all the A330 Transcon services but this changed about the time "the business" seats launched and now it is only on the red eye services.

VA also changed the kits to be different to the long haul service around this time as they used to be the same for all wide body services. I don't know which kit pax get on the HKG services these days but that one you got looks pretty good @Pleb Status
