NYE was a great one on the phone using up my final 2 for 1 vouchers and J upgrades. Locked in a weekend in CNS, and some SYD-MEL-OOL triangle flights - booked 360 SC. Picked up my final confirmation at 9:53pm

About a minute into the call the lady on GCC laughed and asked if I was doing it for SC and said that was most of their calls on the 31st - even people ringing to cancel and rebook onto the same flights, had to admit I'd done the same thing a week ago.

Me wonders if I should have done more. If I'd taken my daughter on this trip to Canberra. I would have made platinum. Oh well. Next offer.

I had booked a couple of returns that will get me close to Gold for another year. Booked on 31 December with ~10 minutes to spare while I was in Thailand.

Just thought I'd give a clap to VFF...

In December, I made quite a number of bookings for travel during this DSC offer period, to take full advantage of the DSC offer. I noted with great interest the VFF-Rep's posting about whether changes to bookings which remained within the eligible travel period would affect the receipt of DSC. I have had to make some changes to flights, and always waited with some scepticism as to whether the DSCs would automatically come through. Without fail, I have had no problems at all. I haven't had to chase up any SCs... they have always come through without any issue.

I've made changes to the days I've been travelling, used upgrades, both complimentary and points-upgrades, cancelled upgrades, and various other change combinations, and have never had a problem.

Well done Velocity Frequent Flyer and Virgin Australia. Glad to know that you can make an offer, promise something to your customer, and deliver without any further hassle to the customer.

Awesome to hear!

Maybe something's changed at VFF? My SC's are posting faster than ever!

Perhaps that's where they have been focusing their IT lately - now once they get that system done, let's go back to the other VA/VFF issues.

About to fly my last DSC flights this weekend - a simple BNE/SYD on Sat and return on Sunday. 40 SC's for $89 each way fares booked 2 months earlier than I would have - great value

So i need to cancel an ADL - MEL J and MEL xOOL - ADL Y trip that i booked during this promo for 2 pax.
knowing that you were successful in your changes what is the likely hood i can change both tickets for a nice status run at 1 pax and still be eligible? Or if i change it to 1 person only will it become a new booking??

My changes were all single pax bookings, so couldn't comment on your situation, sorry. Also, all my changes kept the travel within the original offer travel period. Good luck with whatever you may be able to work out with the call centre.

My BNE/SYD/BNE flights posteds after 2 days and correctly (DSC):
