Not sure how to class Rex, it could be seen as the "new"/revamped/upgraded TigerAir Aust.
Maybe Rex is too ambituous.
Or its early days yet, and have to wait for school holidays.
Or till Rex starts its FF system, and expand its lounge network, as it says it will, noting that lots of airports are compact as they are already.

So, has anyone who received the email on Tuesday flown with VA over the last few days and requested a complimentary snack? What was offered to you?

We fly on Wednesday so I'll report back then.

I saw on another forum that they're handing out the snacks that were free to pax who have requested a snack. You'll need to show the email too.

Let's see if their fares will drop.
Probably won't by much.

Noticed that VA's Perth to Sydney and Perth to Melbourne Freedom fares have dropped to mid-$400s on most days - that's pretty reasonable, particularly when a 9,900 pt points upgrade or a Platinum Complimentary upgrade is done. Used to be high-$600s.

Shh I was hoping they hadn't noticed 😂

More to the point - hoping it stays that way.

Can’t remember VA airfares were last this cheap. I flew to Melbourne two weeks ago for $49 from Sydney.

Every airline is cheap, since our company switched accounts to QF (due to VA2 unreliability and cut backs) our costs have come down significantly.

My personal travel is also really cheap which has been great!

I now pretty much treat VA2 like JQ, for those instances last minute if QF are sold out etc and have had some el cheapo's with VA2 as well, they would not be making any money on alot of those fares....

I'm more surprised Bain didn't unleash one of their F&B companies such as Betty's Burgers and Boost Juice to do the catering for VA.
Or Velocity partner Youfoodz...

Flew MEL-PER last night. As they were going down the aisle taking orders from the BoB menu I just asked “Are you still giving the complimentary snacks mentioned in this email?” and showed the email on my phone to her and she just handed me a tiny bag of mixed seeds/nuts.

The bag of seeds has to be my fave VA snack so far.
