Hi, just wanting some advice. My flight VA1348 (DRW-SYD) has been cancelled (I’d assume). I’ve been moved from a 0135 departure on a Thursday and I’ve been put on VA1356, at 1635 on a Wednesday. This would be fine except I have a connection in Sydney which originally was just 1 hour 40 mins to Brisbane. Due to the time change I now have an overnight (10:40) in Sydney which is definitely not ideal. I spotted this earlier today but I’m not sure when it occurred and I haven’t heard at all from virgin about this. No email about flight change, no app notification, nothing. I’m not particularly happy and was wondering if i rang would they be able to put me on the red eye via Melbourne? I need to get there in the morning (hence direct flight not an option) and was hoping to avoid paying for a hotel overnight in Brisbane hence the original red eye. I assume they wouldn’t provide accomodation in Sydney.

Many thanks for the help.

Double check your junk email box, my Virgin flight changes keep being sent there for some reason. Saying that, yes it's fine to call and ask for other options.
