If im reading this correclty, by the colour, the toilet in front of 21ABC is a Y toilet.

Purple = J
Grey = PE
Red = Y

Edit: BTW, my life has become precious if Im researching who gets to use what toilets by class lines. :oops:

Then I'm as precious as you Denali. And not too impressed by that curtain (between PE and PE Pretend), which in real life and unlike this illustration - has the audacity to separate PE from ANY toilet.

The nerve..............

I sat in the first 5 rows of Y on two flights recently. I did notice the curtain in position but went through it anyway, like every other person (status or not) sitting in the first five rows.

Sorry! :o

Y'see? This is why we need those delightful electric curtains. The ones that zap the riff raff like mozzies when they try to infiltrate Chateau D'Premium.

Am I being facetious? Check.

The J "cubby holder" for tablets looks awkward, do people use them on the A330?

Without wanting to sound negative, I don't think Tangerine achieved the "Human Feel" with the J seats. As much as they look nice, to me it looks very "sterile office" type of feel. Practical for those wanting to work, not so much for those that want to chill out in a "lounge room" type of feel.

I am flying BNE-LAX in Jan for work and because we have around 4 million amex points my employer is going to do my flights on points.
I was originally considering asking for them to use points for a business flight there and I would use my own points for a business class ticket back. However, it appears there is no J availability on my dates.
So my question here is, can I pay the and upgrade to Eco Space+ or am I outta luck?

I have done it already. Award ticket and at seat selection +$125
Brilliant, thanks.

My idea at the moment is to book the reward return flight using company points and then try and wait until 72hours out and if a business reward pops up I will secure it using my own points on the way there and try for the same on the way back and have the company use their points.

I wonder if its possible for my employer to transfer MR points to me? or convert them to Velocity and send them to me?

I have flights to/from LAX coming up on the 777, and unsure what the Space+ means.

Are all 777 reconfigured with 'true' Space+ seating? I ask because my upgrade cost is only $37 each way on the 777 to move up to Space+.

Is this a Platinum discount or just a discount because the seats aren't 'true' Space+ yet?

Thanks

Well that price has certainly come down ...

These were just the first five rows of economy and the exit seats.

While there is good legroom in the bulkhead seats they are just standard seating.

I am not in a position to do a dummy booking but will be checking .

So there is no extra legroom in the non bulkhead seats? The bulkhead seats aren't available.

VA's release says an extra two inches, but seatguru doesn't mention it. It's always hard to tell if the press releases are about the current product or what will eventually be done...

$37 isn't too bad if I get something but if I only get moved 5 rows up it is a ripoff (since I get the other benefits as a Plat anyway)

There may indeed be an extra couple of inches - I'd trust the media release over seat guru.

I guess I am just gun shy after going through Delta's rollout of Economy Comfort.... Their seat maps showed the extra legroom seats, and marketing about them was widespread, when only a fraction of the planes were equipped.

Hi CPM,

All aircraft were complete when they started operating Space+ in late August. All Space+ rows up the front have 25% more legroom and the other inclusions make it well worth the $150 let alone $37. Wish I got that price when I did it a few weeks ago.

Hmm ... they appear to be mucking around with the pricing.

Making a booking with no status is showing a fee of $121.50 - and bulkhead seats are not available.

Making a booking as a WP shows a fee of $108 and bulkhead seats ARE available.

I'm on a K fare, so a bit higher fare base than most bookings... And WP. The price is in USD. 37 USD for LAX-SYD, 33.30 USD for LAX-BNE. No bulkheads unfortunately.

OK, on an elevate fare, it drops for my WPness to AU$100, on a "Freedom" fare then AU$40.

Bulkheads select-able.
