Surely this can't be NZ driven. Why would they want to alienate a pool of potential travellers to North or South America? Do they seriously think we're all going to join Airpoints instead? I have been an Airpoints members in the past and for Australians it is not a worthwhile program.

A reliable source told me that it was 100% driven by Velocity and I assume Delta too.

Definitely disappointing but as others have said, KrisFlyer might now be the goer for me.
