And I'm going to throw out a suggestion that may set off a few people. If you're concerned about the potential risk of a large person sitting down next to you, why aren't you upgrading yourself?

Me? I do in fact (most times), but to suggest a person should be thinking about upgrading themselves in case a fellow pax spills into their seat is laughable and ridiculous and the airline does not belong to the FA's (generally).
