Thought I'd share ... In Sydney, Delta uses a partner lounge that doesnt recognise velocity rewards status. So being velocity platinum, travelling on the current partner airline, there is no lounge access for international travel. (I couldnt book business as there where no seats available).
Not the biggest struggle in the world but there was no indication of this online, or at checkin, which was quite annoying.
Has anyone else experienced this?

@ken_s Welcome to posting on AFF. :)

Such does not surprise me - it will be interesting what lounge access UA will provide for Velocity Elites later this year.

In these times lounge access is something that I research before booking as it is often important to me.

There is also still no lounge access for VA Platinums flying to Nadi out of Sydney.

So much fun back in the day playing lounge bingo with VA, I certainly had a few fun times with Delta. I think I recall during the Alitalia status match resorting to that card at one of them, the Delta peeps often hadn't even of heard of Velocity.

@ken_s did you really join in 2011 but this is your first post in 2022? Impressive! Is this a record?

I can confirm, at LAX terminal B (international) right now. Korean Airlines is Delta's partner and that is the lounge they advise to use. Obviously velocity is not a partner of Korean Airlines.

I should have stayed at terminal 2 and just used the Delta Sky club there.

Did get entry to Sky Club at Ft Lauderdale. It was crowded and when I left, there was a line and they were doing one in, one out (see pic).

Sky Club was also crowded at Atlanta. So crowded, there was a line for the men's toilet. I exited and used the airports toilet with plenty of urinals available!

Good riddance to Delta. Bring on United!!

Wait what? I'm flying SYD-NAN in 2 weeks' time, no lounge access??
Correct. Per other threads here, the only potential option given The House opening times at the moment is the Amex Lounge (if you have access).

Even if the Aspire/old House lounge was open earlier in the day, has VA signed any agreement with them?

Swissport operates The House (Aspire) lounges in SYD and MEL, although I have no idea whether EY is still paying Swissport to be the 'lead' airline branded at the door/entrance.
Swissport also operate "MyLounge" in BNE Int'l (currently closed), which used to have VA as the 'lead' tenant at the door/entrance pre-COVID.
